What a great authentic meal! The music food and service were all great!!!!! I can't wait to come back to try all of their selections

BEST CHEESE ENCHILADA PLATE EVER-definitely competing with their beans for first place on my palate! (Sometimes I ask for the child version if I'm not 4 enchiladas hungry!) There are other choices too, just about anything you can think of: Just plain good food. Bummer?: Getting past the crowded parking lot needing improvements. And where is Cornelio, my favorite waiter with golden hair? The word is out! So I try to go between meal time rushes to get primo parking and excellent service. Always satisfied when I leave this gem.

I was passing by looking for fresh pineapple and on my way to a particular Harlingen restaurant. I saw the sign and I pulled over. I checked my Yelp app to see what kind of Taqueria this was, and how good the reviews were. To my surprise, it wasn't even on the map, so I added it to Yelp, and I will be the first one to give them a review. I parked in their huge parking lot and saw that they had a drive-tru, but I felt like having a seat down meal. I was looking at their taco selection, and I saw a lot of fresh pineapple in the fruit menu (this is what I wanted), so I went for the buffet even when I am not a big fan of buffets. You walk in and seat yourself, a waitress will come and take your drink order, I told her I was getting a buffet and I would be having lemon agua fresca. When my drink came, it came with charro beans, homemade corn tortillas, two salsas, and plenty of paper napkins. I was not a big fan of their charro beans, it tasted more like "smoked ham soup". Something tells me that in the absence of bacon, someone added the whole thanksgiving ham to the pot of beans. Both, green and red salsas are hot, personally liked the green one best. The hot food bar had everything from chicken Caldo, to chicken Mole, Picadillo, Mollejas, Pork Asado, Pork in green salsa, and of course, rice and refried beans. The fruit bar was the top of the meal, with an abundant amount of local seasonal fruit. The lunch buffet is $8.99 and it includes tea or can soda. Overall, was very good, but I am leaving room for improvement.
